Responsible entity and scope
This policy applies to Dockline Refit for Android, published for OCEAN LIFE LIMITED. It covers the app's offline project board, notes, checklists and user-selected local image reference. Effective date: 3 August 2026.
This policy describes the exact offline behaviour of Dockline Refit version 1.0.0.
This policy applies to Dockline Refit for Android, published for OCEAN LIFE LIMITED. It covers the app's offline project board, notes, checklists and user-selected local image reference. Effective date: 3 August 2026.
The app is intended for adults organising generic refit-project preparation. It is not directed to children and is not intended for unsupervised trainees.
Dockline Refit provides a local work-package board, punch and handover checklists, option notes, a 48-card reference gallery and a user-requested text export. It is not a navigation, AIS, weather, certification, emergency, crew-placement or payment service.
The app has no account, server or background network connection. It does not transmit project labels, notes, checklist state, selected image references or exports to the publisher.
Project labels, work-package states, checklist choices, option notes and a content URI for a user-selected image may be kept in private app preferences on the device.
Free text and image selection are optional. Users should avoid personal data, access credentials, vessel-security details, sensitive technical records or material they are not authorised to store. The publisher cannot view local content.
The app requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, notification or broad storage permission. Android's system picker grants access only to an image deliberately selected by the user and to a user-selected export destination.
There is no login or server-side account, so account deletion is not applicable.
The app contains no ads, analytics, attribution, tracking, telemetry or remote-configuration SDK.
The app does not automatically share or sell data. A user may deliberately select an image reference or export a text summary through Android; the selected provider's practices then apply.
Dockline Refit does not communicate with a vessel, yard, vendor, port, regulator, emergency service or publisher. System picker actions occur only after a user request.
Local state remains until the user resets the workspace, clears app storage or uninstalls. The selected document provider controls any separate source or exported copy.
Reset workspace clears app preferences and releases the remembered local image reference where possible. Android cloud backup and device-transfer inclusion are disabled. User-exported copies require separate deletion.
Android sandboxing helps protect preferences. Security also depends on device lock, operating-system updates, document-provider security and user handling. The app does not add a separate encryption password.
The app is directed to adults. It must not be used to create profiles about children, trainees or crew members or to store their personal, health or location information.
The app is an organisational notebook. It does not establish seaworthiness, engineering fitness, regulatory compliance, class approval, safe navigation or emergency readiness. Follow official site procedures and qualified professional direction.
A later version may update this policy if behaviour changes. Users can omit free text, avoid selecting an image, remove local state, avoid export or uninstall at any time.
Privacy enquiries may be sent by post to OCEAN LIFE LIMITED, 3rd Floor, 44 Esplanade, St. Helier, JE4 9WG, Jersey. Include the app name Dockline Refit and do not send sensitive project records.
